Patricia Martin collection, 1919-1945.

MS 93-173 consists of streetcar advertisements (Series 1) spanning the years 1919-1941. The advertisements are banners and posters that were put on the inside and outside of the streetcars in Detroit, Michigan. The advertisements include consumer products and political ads. Also in the volumes are pictures of streetcars used in Detroit. The manuscript box contains additional photographs of advertisements and streetcars. Also included are three blueprints of the area of LaFayette and Canton Avenues, Detroit (near Mt. Elliot Cemetery). Series 2 of the collection concerns the Gray Marine Motor Company in Detroit. Includes thirty 8"x10" photographs of the company and its employees. Also includes documents relating to Edward Joseph Moran, an employee of the company.
